Margaret Black Elementary, in partnership with students, parents, and community, is dedicated to providing a positive atmosphere for motivating and challenging students to become contributing citizens and lifelong learners.
The Margaret Black Elementary community will develop meaningful learning experiences that inspire students as they evolve as lifelong learners and contributing citizens.
Our first school Color Run will be held on May 7th, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Sterling Heights High School. Information will be coming home on February 17th. You can join to run, donate or volunteer your time. Please sign up at BlackMSCR.eventbrite.com (online registrations only).

Join our efforts to support all students at Black Elementary. Here is a way for our dads and grandfathers to help.
Click on the WATCH D.O.G.S link below for the paperwork to participate.
Crosswalks -- Please help us keep kids safe! Parents and students should be crossing with the crossing guards. Heritage and Coachwood is an area of concern so please help us make sure everyone is keeping safe.
Busses -- If your child is a busser and is not taking the bus please notify the office by 2:30. Please do not take your child out of the bus lines.
Black Elementary's school store is open on Fridays from 10:30-11:30. Items that are available for purchase are:
- crayons, pencils, erasers, highlighters
- composition notebooks, bookmarks, scissors
- reading bracelets, silly bands, stickers, posters
- hand sanitizer, glue sticks
- Heroes A2Z books
All items are $1 - $3, with the exception of the Heroes A2Z books which are $6
All proceeds go to the purchase of more library books for all students.
If your child is unable to purchase during these times, they can use the order form to order what they would like and items will be delivered later in the week to the classroom.
