Mrs. Nedam not only talks about recycling with students, but shows them what can be done with the recycled products. Last year she started a project where the students were bringing in any plastic caps to containers. The students are continuing to bring caps in and these can include baby food caps, bottle caps, milk cartain caps, lids to detergent and more. Students are creating a colorful mural that is displayed in the main hallway.
What happens next? As students and community members continue to turn in bottle caps, the next phase will be to create benches and other decorations out of the recycled material. Stay tuned for more pictures.
