2nd Grade Special Project -

4 second grade students dive into researching why it is important to take care of our earth.  They searched for information using digital and print sources, connected with a GFL representative and brought a whole school assembly to school, and worked together to create PSA's about our environment.  The first power point is a joint effort in combining all of their information into one PSA for our school to view.  The four presentations that follow are what each student created individually.  They mastered the use of basic Power Point features, learned how to crop pictures, as well as how to create and insert videos.

Big 6 Energy Research Project - Mrs. Pyrek/Mrs. Coleman

Students worked for several weeks learning how to do research using grade appropriate resources.  They learned how to choose appropriate resources and extract relevant information on the topic selected.  They analyzed as a class which information was the best and organized it using their thinking maps.  Students worked in partners and shared information and then organized their information into a power point presentation.  They worked in the media center and in their classroom to complete the entire project.  They will be teaching other fourth grade students about the content they learned.
