Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. I am glad that you found your way to the Principal’s Page. I am in my first year as Carleton Middle School’s Principal and have been overjoyed with the welcome by the students, parents, and staff of Carleton. Thank you very much for welcoming me into the Warren Consolidated Schools’ greater community.

I come to you from Lamphere Public Schools, where I served as an Assistant Principal for three years. Prior to that, I spent my time in Rochester Community Schools as an Administrative Intern and classroom teacher. Both of these school districts helped shape me as a teacher, teacher leader, and administrator, and for that, I am thankful.

In June 2013, I completed my Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Oakland University. Prior to that I received my MA in Music Education from the University of Michigan after earning my BA in Music Education from Michigan State University. Lastly, I have enjoyed teaching teacher preparation courses at Rochester College since 2011.

My wife Jackie, is a nurse at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, and we have two very active boys named Mason and Emmitt. I am sure you will see them at various events throughout the district, please say hi and introduce yourself.

If there is anything I can do to help your child be successful while attending Carleton Middle School, do not hesitate to contact me. I will commit to working alongside you in order to help your child have the necessary tools to be successful. Also, please take the time to read the Carleton Chronicle (our weekly electronic newsletter) and sign up to receive text messages from Remind. Lastly, please keep us informed of any changes of phone numbers, email addresses, and other ways of contacting you, so that we can keep an open line of communication. Let’s make it a great year and GO COLTS!
