EARLY RELEASE POLICY

"6th Hour Early Release Policy"

 Hall Pass
  • Please send a note with your child stating your child's name and time to be released.  This note should be sent to the main office PRIOR to the start of school and a pass will be issued to your child.
  • Calls for Early Release MUST be made PRIOR to 2 pm. 
  • Staff will not be calling classrooms after 2 pm.

Homework and daily in-class work may account for up to 25% of the final grade.  The remaining 75% of the final grade is to be determined on fair and equitable, multiple measures of assessments* that will permit a student to demonstrate his/her mastery level of the course's content.

* Examples of assessments may include, but are not limited to chapter tests, quizzes, projects, presentations, labs, etc.  Assessments may be of any type that will demonstrate knowledge gained.

CARTER MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2014

1. Interested in joining student council? If you want to run for class officer, please pick up an application from Ms. Ceravolo or Mrs. Cherry today. Applications are due by this Friday, Sept. 26th.  
 
2. The first yearbook meeting will be Tuesday September 23rd in the Media Center right after school until 3:15. Come and see what it is about and get your first assignment!! Please see Mrs. Smith or Ms. Pekar for details.
 
3. ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:
Students please be advised that you will not be let into the building until 7:41 unless there are extreme weather conditions.  If you get breakfast every morning, breakfast starts at 7:20 am.  Students eating breakfast must enter through the front doors. 
 
4. Ecology club will be having its first meeting on Monday, September 29 right after school in room 504. Ecology Club members may participate in recycling, making bird houses/feeders, making brownies using solar energy, planting and maintaining a butterfly garden and many more fun activities. Please see Mrs. Fields in room 503 or Mrs. Kalbfleisch in room 504 to pick up an information sheet before the first meeting.

5. Come show some Carter pride at this week's sporting events. Tuesday is a home volleyball game vs. Grissom starting at 4:00. On Tuesday there is also an away football game at Richards starting at 4:00.
