EARLY RELEASE POLICY

"6th Hour Early Release Policy"

 Hall Pass
  • Please send a note with your child stating your child's name and time to be released.  This note should be sent to the main office PRIOR to the start of school and a pass will be issued to your child.
  • Calls for Early Release MUST be made PRIOR to 2 pm. 
  • Staff will not be calling classrooms after 2 pm.

CARTER MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2014

1. Last night the 8th grade girl’s volleyball team lost to Carlton it was a tough game. Make sure you wish all the girls good luck as they go to the tournament tomorrow at Sterling Heights High School, come on out and support the team. Let's go Cougars!

Special shout out to Coach Smith and Coach Wesley - good luck with the 8th grade girls this weekend let's bring home the trophy!!!

2. Several students have asked question about what they may or may not wear for Halloween.  On Halloween dress up day, spirit days or any day that you are here at Carter: School rules regarding the dress code must be followed. No short skirts/tutus or short shorts, no bare midriffs, no bare shoulders, or low necklines, nothing that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities or are derogatory or disrespectful or depict violence.  All costume preparations are to be completed at home. (No dressing or applying of make-up or colored hairspray once students arrive at school). No masks or weapons. Students who have questions about the acceptability of their costume should check with the office prior to wearing the costume to school. Students wearing inappropriate costumes will be sent to the office to call home for a change of clothes.

3. Ecology Club will be having its next meeting on Monday, October 27th.  Please meet in the Media Center. It will end at 4:15. 

4. The next student council meeting will be Tuesday, October 28th at 7:20 in the media center. Be there in your spirit wear!!!! Attendance is mandatory!

5. All students participating in games and on a Carter sport team, need to sit near the bottom of the bleachers.

6. Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in trying out for basketball needs to see Mr. Loop in room 215.

7. Booster Club is selling popcorn every Friday at dismissal for $1.00 in the main lobby.

8. Just a reminder that yearbook prices increase after October 31.  Currently the price is $26, starting November 1 the price increases 4 dollars to $30.  So order today!
