Benefit Concert for Aleena Who Attends Jefferson Middle School

Right before Winter Break, one of the first grade students at Jefferson Elementary was diagnosed with Leukemia.  Aleena was immediately admitted to Beaumont and began treatment.  Unfortunately, her family has begun to feel the financial strains of this medical treatment.  Jefferson's PTO and Staff have had the very unique opportunity to put together a Benefit Concert by a group called Teen Nation Tour.  This tour consists of extremely talented teens who are on the verge of record deals.  They cover top 40 songs . . . and offer an anti-bullying message.  This is going to be an amazing show for all families!

CARTER MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday, April 17, 2014

Cousino High School Dance Team Tryouts for next year.  Please see the above section for detailed information.

The Dodgeball Tournament is back on!  The new date is Wednesday, May 21st, after school.  Please see Mrs. Cavataio or Ms. Pekar if you would like to submit a team.  For those of you that have filled out forms, we still have your waivers, you just need to submit the money and let us know if there are any changes to hold your spot.  There are still openings for teams.  Teams are made up of 8 students, $2 per player.  Please stop by Room 313 or 305 for any questions.  We hope everyone comes out to watch and have some fun.  All proceeds will be going to a family very close to home with a first grader struggling with leukemia.

Mrs. Samp talked about 3 things last Wednesday:

  1. NO PICTURE TAKING WITH CELLPHONES.  Any student caught doing this will receive a 10 day suspension and their phone will be confiscated.
  2. ID's MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.  Just because we are nearing the end of school, does not mean that our rules no longer apply.
  3. Students need to remind their parents that they are not to drop off their children in the middle of Masonic or pull into the bus lane in the morning.
