Creating Dynamic Futures!
Career Prep Center (CPC) is a Career & Technical Education (CTE) building, within Warren Consolidated Schools (WCS). We offer approximately fifteen-plus high skill, high wage, high demand CTE programs within our CPC building, along with a number of additional programs housed in the three WCS traditional high schools.
We are extremely proud of our students and their accomplishments throughout the year. We are also proud to service our community, parents, industry partners and other stakeholders throughout our district and extended area.

September is Attendance Awareness Month, a nationwide event recognizing the connection between school attendance and academic achievement. Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school.
Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence. When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.
Attendance is among the 10 employee work ethics most valued by employers. Although some employers are willing to help employees develop skills, most expect workers to already possess work ethics. Employee work ethics -- such as teamwork, respect, appearance, productivity, attitude and attendance -- are behaviors and attitudes people bring to the workplace. Although education, training and experience are important, employers increasingly look at work ethics as equally important in hiring or retaining employees. Attendance, like all work ethics, affects every aspect of the workplace and the business.
Please help us with this all important initiative, by making sure your children, our students, get a good night rest, every night, and are up and ready to go to school on a timely basis every day.
Attendance is a habit, and we want our students, your children, to develop good habits that will help them succeed today, tomorrow and the rest of their lives, in their continuing education and/or future careers.
