Dental Science

A one year course for students interested in becoming a dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant or a dental laboratory technician.  Students will learn basic dental skills and knowledge to work in a dental office or for continuing college dental programs after high school.  The study of anatomy and physiology provides the knowledge needed to support all dental and health careers.

 

Academic  Credits for Dental Science I

  • Dental Science - 1 elective credit
  • Medical Anatomy and Physiology - 1 science credit

 

Academic Credits for Dental/Health Science student 2nd year

  • Dental Science - 2 elective credits
  • Math Related Credit (Board Approved)

  • American Heart Association: Heart Saver AED (CPR) and Bloodborne Pathogens
  • National Healthcare Foundations Skills Assessment
