Student Of The Month
Building Trades – Mr. Barterian & Mr. Asmar
Sterling Heights High School
We are extremely proud to announce Miran Zomay as our school building’s “Student of the Month”. “Miran is a second year Building Trade’s student, and has one of the most dependable work ethics I have seen”, according to his teacher, Mr. Barterian. Every day this year so far, Miran comes in to class early, and is ready to do whatever needs to be done before class even starts.
Miran who has been nicknamed “The Work Horse” by his classmates, displays a great deal of enthusiasm and motivation towards the Building Trades industry. He has earned a position as a member of our new Work-Based Learning program, and will soon be using the skills learned in class, out on the job with a local employer.
CPC Program Showcase
Mark your calendars, we will be hosting our annual CPC Program Showcase Thursday February 15, 2018, from 6:30 to 8pm. Make the time to come down to our building and see all of the different exiting career & technical education focused programs we have to offer to all of our students.
Creating Dynamic Futures!
Career Prep Center (CPC) is a Career & Technical Education (CTE) building, within Warren Consolidated Schools (WCS). We offer fifteen-plus high skill, high wage, high demand CTE programs within our CPC building, along with a number of additional programs housed in the three WCS traditional high schools.
While we service a small number of students from the neighboring districts, the vast majority of our students are coming to us from within our WCS district: Sterling Heights, Cousino, Warren Mott, and Community High Schools.
We are extremely proud of our students and their accomplishments throughout the year. We are also proud to service our community, parents, industry partners and other stakeholders throughout our district and extended area.
