Two CPC Computer Animation Teams Take 1st & 4th Place!!!

17 students from our Computer Programming/Game Design and Visual Imaging & Print Tech programs along with their teachers, Ms. Worde & Ms. Nunez, traveled and competed in the BPA State Conference in Grand Rapids.

We are extremely proud of these students, who continue to represent our building and district in a most professional way.

Congratulations to all students and their teachers for the hard work, commitment, and dedication.

In the wake of the tragedy of the south Florida school this past February, Career Prep Center students and staffs participated in the calling for the “National School Walkout” on March 14th, for 17 minutes, beginning at 10am.

The names of the 17 students and staff who we lost one month ago were read out loud, then followed by a moment of silence. A number of students came up and spoke. They shared some powerful thoughts and ideas on what’s going on, and how we can all come together and improve.

We could not be more proud of our students for coming together and exercising their freedom of expression in a such a powerful and respectful way.

Our CPC NTHS hosted their annual American Red Cross blood drive, Friday January 26thIn the short time they were in our building, they were able to complete 25 successful donations, with 19 first time donors.
The blood that they collected will help 75 Hospital patients! (This is the IMPORTANT PART) 75 LIVES SAVED (since every blood donor can save 3 lives)!

These students and staff really made a huge difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you for being a HERO to the community! Those units were so desperately needed!

Thank you for preventing dangerous blood shortages! Thank you for all of your hard work on this life saving event!!!
