My name is Michelle Nunez, and I’m the Visual Imaging & Print Technology (VIPT) program teacher. I graduated from Davenport University with Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration in Marketing & Management, along with an Interim Occupational Certificate vocational endorsement for Graphic & Printing Technology & Communications.
I have 18 years of private industry experience in the graphic arts design world, and have been teaching VIPT here at CPC for the last 11 years now.
I am married and have lived in Warren for 20+ years. I’m also the mother of 2 boys whom have been students in the district from elementary through high school. I love football, soccer and most other sports, along with spending time with my family up north at our cottage.
I feel that some of the most important things to teach my students in class are the skills to start becoming a graphic designer along with soft/lifelong skills to further their careers in whatever they may choose to explore.
Students in their first year will be introduced to Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, along with basic printing based skills. Second year students will further their skills in all the programs while creating a portfolio for college, along with customer service and competition based projects.
