BELOW IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM DR. LIVERNOIS' LETTER SENT HOME ON 4/22/14.

Dear WCS Community,

In response to the number of school days canceled due to weather this year, the state ruled last week that school districts can make up lost days through a combination of adding days and minutes to the remaining days.

In an effort to not have school run too far into June, WCS will add one day of school on Friday, June 13, 2014, for traditional school calendars and Thursday, June 19, 2014, for year-round school calendars. In addition, below is listed any days where additional minutes were added from Grissom Middle School.

Your cooperation as we address the lost days of instruction for our students is sincerely appreciated.  If you have any questions, please contact your child's school.

GRISSOM MIDDLE SCHOOL WILL ADD ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONAL TIME TO THE END OF THE DAY ON FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2014.  SCHOOL WILL START AT 8:00 A.M. AND END AT 11:30 A.M.

GRISSOM MIDDLE SCHOOL WILL ADD AN ADDITIONAL DAY OF INSTRUCTION:

  • Thursday, June 12, 2014 is now a full day of school
  • Friday, June 13, 2014 is now a half day of school
