Welcome to the Jefferson Media Center!

Michigan School Libraries for the 21st CenturyThe Jefferson Media Center was given the Library of Michigan Endorsement for meeting ‘Exemplary’ status in the School Library 21 (SL21) Certification Program

The mission of the Jefferson Elementary School Media Center  is to support the school's curriculum and to promote a love of reading so that our students may become lifelong learners.

Students at Jefferson may check out books during their media class and during open check out, 3:00 every day. Students are not charged fines for overdue books; however, if a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, we ask that they pay replacement cost. Books are checked out every week and may be renewed if necessary. The number of books that may be checked out varies by grade and teacher.

Thank you for visiting. Please use the links on the left for more information about the media center, media class projects, research assistance and web resources. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
